Head of Global Pulp Sales
Andre Soetjahja joined Paper Excellence in June 2020. He leads the international efforts to grow pulp sales volume, as well as expand and diversify our customer and product portfolio. Prior to joining the company Andre had a long career with a North American towel and tissue manufacturer. He has had a well-rounded career in General Management, Procurement, Corporate Governance and business analysis. Andre holds a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the University of Michigan and a master’s degree in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University.

Edwin Widjaja
Vice President, Pulp Sales
Edwin Widjaja joined Paper Excellence in 2011, bringing 25 years of technical expertise and depth of knowledge in the pulp and paper industry. Edwin’s extensive experience of the commercial side of the industry was gained through his previous experience as head of Fibre Procurement at a global producer of pulp and paper products. Edwin holds a bachelor’s degree in business management.

Robin Tan
Director, Pulp Sales
Robin joined Paper Excellence in 2016. Robin started his career in the Ministry of Social and Family Development with the Singapore government as a Psychologist. Prior moving to Canada, Robin worked in China managing Global Human Resources. He holds MBA and a bachelor’s degree of Arts and Science in Economics and Psychology from the National University of Singapore. In June 2020, he decided to take on a new role of Director of Pulp Sales.

Russell D. Anawalt

Russell “Russ” Anawalt joined the forest products industry 31 years ago after graduating from San Francisco State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business Administration.
During his first 25 years in the industry, Russ worked for Weyerhaeuser Company in various sales management and leadership roles. His last role with Weyerhaeuser was vice president of Sales, Marketing, Innovation and New Product Development for their Cellulose Fibers Business. Russ joined International Paper in December 2016 as vice president of Sales and Marketing for Global Cellulose Fibers until his retirement in 2019.
After a few years of retirement and being away from the pulp and paper industry, Russ engaged in consulting projects which ultimately led him to join Paper Excellence Canada as an Advisor to the Pulp Sales organization in December 2022. Russ’ significant experience, international exposure, leadership, and commitment to delivering customer service excellence have allowed him to build long-term relationships and to develop and implement global commercial strategies within the paper grade, absorbent and specialty pulp segments.

Todd Kutil
Director, Pulp Sales North America
Todd brings with him many years of experience in the pulp industry in both sales and marketing with extensive technical and marketing knowledge. His span of experience in the industry gives him a consistent track record of increasing sales through profiling, targeting, planning and executing multi-faceted sales and marketing programs. He is energized by large-scale challenges and the opportunity to make a difference for customers by being a creative and a successful problem-solver. Todd is graduate of State University of New York at Albany.

Jon Mancil
Director, Pulp Sales North America
Jon has worked in the pulp and paper industry for close to 30 years in roles including supply chain, analytics, and sales. He has supported commercial activities for various pulp, paper, and packaging grades. Jon believes that the key to creating value for an organization is found in understanding the needs of a customer and finding innovative solutions that are mutually beneficial to both supplier and customer. He is a graduate of Liberty University and resides in the Atlanta, Georgia region.

Nando Fu joined Paper Excellence in 2021 as Sales Director bringing over 20 years of global senior management experience in the paper and dissolving pulp industries. Fernando then gained extensive experience and knowledge in the Specialty Cellulose markets in senior roles with major global producers. His exceptional market intelligence and customer relationship skills have been a great benefit to the parent organizations where he has worked. Fernando has great passion for international business, having lived and worked in China, Japan and Canada. He is skilled in multicultural communications which provides top class service and problem solving for customers.

Tanni joined Paper Excellence as a Sales Supervisor in 2011. She was promoted to Sales Manager in 2013. Prior to joining Paper Excellence, she has held various positions in her previous companies ranging from Executive Secretary to Chairman, Chief of Export Department, Purchasing Manager and Sales & Marketing Manager. As a Sales Manager, she is responsible to maintain and develop sales, ensure the supply chain of finished goods between the pulp mills and customers is smooth and continuous, and ensure pulp sales department delivers an exceptional level of customer service.

Liu Zhao

Liu Zhao has more than twelve years of sales and marketing experience and has worked in many companies, including APRIL, understanding the situation and development of the China’s pulp market. He has also been involved in pulp sales and marketing in pulp mills, which has strengthened his knowledge of the production and process flow of pulp and paper, as well the analyzes of operations, demand and changes of the end user. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Management from Qingdao University, China. Liu Zhao joined the Paper Excellence team in 2021.He serves the Chinese market and lives in Shandong Province.

Bringing 15+ years of experience in sales and marketing, Andrie joined Paper Excellence in 2013 as Sales Coordinator then later became Sales Supervisor in 2019. As Sales Supervisor, Andrie’s main responsibility is to supervise pulp sales coordinator’s activities and is responsible to monitor all the sales & operational process for all Canadian Paper Excellence mills. Directly reporting to Head of Global Pulp Sales, Andrie is also involved in various projects working together with other departments related to sales improvement plans and business processes.

Hongmei Wei
Technical Sales Manager, Pulp Sales
Hongmei has 30 years of pulp and paper experience teaching, researching and in technical sales. Hongmei has worked with different organizations including Nanjing Forestry University, APRIL Asia, Rio Tinto Minerals Asia, Imerys, and FPInnovations. She joined Paper Excellence in 2017. Hongmei received a Ph.D. of Chemical Engineering from McGill University.
