Paper Excellence Canada announces new Chief Executive Officer

Paper Excellence News

Paper Excellence (PE), Canada’s largest pulp producer, today announced the appointment of Brian Baarda as its new Chief Executive Officer.

Baarda will immediately assume day-to-day leadership of Paper Excellence based out of the company’s Richmond headquarters. Baarda, who holds an Executive MBA from Herriot Watt University in Edinburgh, brings a wealth of forest industry experience to Paper Excellence. Over the period of two decades Baarda has held positions in supply chain, finance and operations including serving as Chief Operating Officer with TimberWest.

“I am incredibly excited to take on the role of CEO furthering the company’s commitment to continued growth and improvement,” Brian Baarda states. “As Paper Excellence has traditionally held a low profile within Canada’s natural resource industry, I look forward to advancing the corporation’s foundation and presence within the industry and communities in which we operate.”
