Message from Katia:
My name is Katia, I am of Coast Salish descent, now pursuing my path in Midwifery Education at the University of British Columbia. I am thankful that this scholarship will assist me financially to be able to reach my goal of supporting pregnant, birthing and postpartum families. I will be entering my final year of my program and I’m thrilled that this goal is near.

Our congratulations to Katia who received a First Nations scholarship through our Catalyst Crofton mill. We’re pleased we can play a small part in helping her achieve her goal of supporting pregnant, birthing and postpartum families. 

In Paper Excellence’s mission statement, we identify our goal of “enhancing the well-being of the communities that we operate in.” In recognition of this and the value of education, we offer Indigenous and community scholarships to students who live in our operating areas across Canada.
