Investing in education and community development is a key focus area for Paper Excellence. Our scholarships are part of our commitment to generate positive impacts long term in the communities where we operate.
The community scholarship program is designed to aid with the financial needs of high school graduates entering their first year at a public university, community college or institute of technology. Our scholarships vary in value from $250 – $1,500 depending on the mill site.
The applicant must be planning to become a full-time student at a technical institute, community college or accredited public university, following high school graduation and receipt of the award. Deferment of one academic year is permitted where the applicant is participating in a recognized Grade 12 student exchange program.
The scholarships will be granted to students upon graduating from a high school in the Paper Excellence operating communities.
Completed application forms and full transcript of marks from previous year of study, plus interim transcripts for the current year need to be included with the application form. An application must be accompanied by a brief description of your reason for seeking higher education and the course of study you have chosen; your involvement in school sports, and community activities and leadership.
Applications must be submitted on or before April 30, 2023.
