Our customer service teams celebrated Customer Service Week together the first week in October and it was a great success!
The teams took part in two customer presentations—one from a procurement manager and one from a purchasing manager. Both presenters shared their thoughts on the importance of customer service, how we stand out as a vendor, and what added value we provide. They also discussed the future of printing and writing for the markets they serve.
The teams also met with Stew Gibson, COO, who provided his thoughts on the importance of customer service, the future of paper excellence, how we stand out as a preferred supplier, and what he is most proud of regarding Paper Excellence.
This year’s theme was Making a Difference and over the course of the week a peer-to-peer nomination program allowed people to nominate their fellow teammates in one of three categories: You Make a Difference; Everyday Hero; and Improving Practices Champion. There were also team building activities, opportunities to celebrate and socialize, and a fundraiser to give back to the community. The team raised $2,182 for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank!
“This was our first year celebrating customer service week,” says Lyn Stone, Vice President, Customer Solutions. “We expanded our scope to reach all the people on our team that play integral roles in providing service to our customers. It was a great team experience, given the last few years of quiet separation due to COVID. Hearing people laughing in the office was a wonderful reminder that we are an amazing team, made up of fabulous individuals!”
